PROFIBUS is the world’s leading fieldbus providing cost-saving solutions in factory automation and in process automation. This PROFIBUS training class will examine how the fieldbus approach produces significant cost savings in: design, installation, and maintenance, over “point-to-point” wiring.
The training class is specifically designed to be a technical overview of PROFIBUS technology providing both new and existing users with a comprehensive understanding of the design, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of PROFIBUS. The training class also provides an introduction to related technologies including PROFIsafe, PROFINET, and IO-Link.
This training class will walk attendees through a complete PROFIBUS DP project, a complete PROFIBUS PA project (with emphasis on process industry applications), and the integration of these networks into a PROFINET architecture.
PROFINET is the all-encompassing Industrial Ethernet that includes real-time IO, peer-to-peer integration, motion control, safety, vertical integration, and integration of existing fieldbuses including PROFIBUS, Interbus, AS-I, DeviceNet, HART,IO Link, Foundation Fieldbus, and others.
