PI North America's main role is to show industrial automation developers and users the beneficial results of using fieldbus - in particular PROFIBUS and PROFINET - in North American discrete manufacturing and process automation applications. PI North America assists device vendors and OEMs in the design, development and marketing of PROFIBUS and PROFINET fieldbus products. PI North America also helps end users to understand and make optimum use of PROFIBUS and PROFINET across the enterprise.

The PROFI Interface Center (PIC) in Johnson City, TN has an opening for a PROFINET Development Engineer. Responsibilities will include testing PROFINET products and Consulting Support for PROFINET Technology Components. The position is based in Johnson City. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering / Computer Science is required. Experience is required developing embedded systems in Industrial Automation products. Free Training Schedule for PROFIBUS and PROFINET in 2012
Twenty one free training classes are scheduled for 2012. There are two different curricula: PROFIBUS and PROFINET. Specific dates and venues are selected at least 30 days prior to the class.
Certified Network Engineer Classes for 2012
PI North America and PROFI Interface Center announce the 12th year of Certified Network Engineer classes. These fee-based classes result in certification of the student who passes the theoretical and practical exams. Three types of classes are offered: PROFIBUS DP, PROFIBUS PA, and PROFINET. Classes are held at the PROFI Interface Center in Johnson City, TN unless otherwise indicated.
